Last week was Homecoming at Mtka., and Missy Quigley–Mini—School senior–was nominated a Homecoming queen candidate. This gave Mini-School cause for excitement and celebration. The students put up signs and campaigned all over the school in an attempt to win votes for Missy. On Thursday morning, we had a special breakfast for Missy, where toasts were made and fun was had by all.
The coronation was on Thursday night. Escorted by handsome Kevin Shierman–also a Mini-School student–Missy looked queenly and very beautiful in her flowing gown. We were all disappointed that Missy didn’t win, but the fact that she participated is the important thing.
Mini-School is sometimes looked at as separate from the rest of the school, but it is in fact an important part of this school. We are glad that Missy could represent Mini-School in this all-school event. Congratulations Missy!
