Mini-School has a new teacher this year, as well as many new students. His name is Nick Jambeck. He’s taking the place of John Eiden, who left Mini this summer to teach at Superior State College, in Wisconsin.
Before coming to Mini-School, Wick taught communications for six years at Clear Springs Elementary in a program called the Unit, which is pretty much the same as Mini-School, except it’s for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. He has also been a swimming coach off and on for six years.
For most teachers (or students) Mini-School takes a little getting used to. It takes a while to get to know the kids and the program. But because of Nick’s past experience he seemed to fit into the program pretty well. And most of the kids who’ve gotten to know him a little seem to get along with him okay.
The Mini-Schoolers who were here when John was here, miss him pretty much. Nick knows John, and he knows how we feel having him gone. He understands and we appreciate that. We welcome him to Mini-School and we hope he has a good year with us.
