As a student of life, my current lesson brings me to the Mini-School program at Minnetonka High School. Here’s hoping it is a fruitful one for all concerned.
Upon completion of my student teaching, I will graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Superior with a Bachelors of Science Degree in History and Sociology.
My main interests in school the last two years have been Cultural Anthropology and Social Psychology in relation to education. I have learned how to play the game well and have been an honor roll student for the last three semesters. If you are familiar with “Joe Cool” you can relate to one of my favorite between class hobbies of hanging around the student union and doing a little girl watching.
Before coming down to the Mini program, I was player-coach of an unsuccessful (9 wins-26 losses over 3 years) men’s city league basketball team and city handball champ. I am a voracious reader, consuming everything from the Penguin Classics to Penthouse Forum.
In my classroom, I will be implementing subjective strategies such as: value clarification, sustained silent reading with journals and affective learning through the use of games.
