In Linda’s 3rd hour plant class we just finished starting our choice of seeds in flats. This is just one of the many things we get to do on our own. We are also keeping a journal of different articles and books we may read during the last quarter. Just starting my journal these first 2 weeks I’ve learned a lot from short articles. We also have to do a final project using four plants of our own. I am going to build a greenhouse. Other people are going to make terrariums end macramé hangers, etc. It is a good learning class.

Jeff Hagedorn, student teacher, has blessed us with his presence to take Linda’s place in her classroom as teacher. He’s here from Superior College to student teach us ’til the end of the year. In his class he covers the different aspects of people in normal sociological situations and also the anthropological outlooks on man as an animal.
Right now he’s involved in making candles of different sorts to bring out some of the artistic qualities of some of the students. (And I might add that Brett made a lovely candle. -Lester).
He’s a nice guy and he’s easy to communicate with. We should be considered lucky to have him. It gives us a break from Linda for awhile.
