Over its seven years of existence, transportation for extended Mini-School outdoor excursions has always been a problem. On a number of occasions, Mini-School supporters and parents have helped out with loans (we try to reimburse with at least 10¢ to 15¢ per mile) of vans and station wagons.
Our list of contacts in this area is running thin. In fact, it is down to Mr. Frank Pfiffner, who has loaned Mini-School his 1972 Ford Econoline van on several different occasions to go to the BWCA and other points north. In order to take some of the burden off Mr. Pfiffner, we are asking those of you parents and boosters who have access to vehicles which could aid Mini-School’s trips program to please come forward. A van is desperately needed for Mini-School’s snowshoe excursion over the Kekekabic Trail in the BWCA, to take place in late February.
Anyone who can help out Mini-School in this area please call any staff member at XXX-XXXX, Ext. 59.
