I just finished along with about 8 other girls a Mini class called Women’s Issues. The instructors were Lester and Lucy Crosby of Relate.
We talked about such topics as rape, life planning, men and women relationships, cliques, etc. It was a class strictly for women, which I felt was greatly needed in this program lacking women leaders and teachers. We really got involved in ourselves as women. After every meeting I felt glad to be a woman. Each time I felt myself standing up for myself a little bit more.
The only two requirements were that we miss no more than one meeting and keep a journal. We talked at the last meeting about maybe having this Mini class later in the year again. If we do, I really suggest you sign up, because it’s really worth it. I learned a lot about myself.
Participants in the Women’s Issues group: Debbie Sousa, Carrie Ernst, Jolene Ruha, Wendy Berg, Betty Pfiffner, Darnelle Dallmann, Karen Wright, Michele DeVere.
