Well I’m back from the Naval training center Great Lakes, IL and I’m happy to report that all’s well in Great Lakes. Here’s just another letter from one of the Boys in Blue. Pugsley. Well so much has changed in my life the past five months. But before that, just a quick update on who I have seen around. Kris Mann is delivering for the Minnetonka Haskells. Brian Christofono is still hard working at his band. Casey and Dawn are in Florida, in a little town called Dundin. Casey is working at a hospital (must be blowing the foam off the bedpans) and Dawn (sorry I can’t remember where you were working) I hear is doing well. Scott Hedtke I haven’t heard from since boot camp. Al Wright I saw in July and was stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi and is now in Guam for seven months. Back to what’s happened to me: I finished school (finally) September 6th, I’m now a designated gas turbine technician (mechanical) fireman apprentice. Just a big fancy way to say GSMFA Bartram. As for me, I’m headed to San Diego with my wife. Yes that’s right Pugsley got married! My new wife’s name is Tamara. and she is an amazing woman, and completely changed my life. But back to San Diego, I’m going to be on DD-976, USS Mermill, a Spruance class destroyer.
Well that’s about all I have to say, but if you hear anything about the “Merrill” give a strong “hoo-rah” for me and wish my wife and I luck in San Diego.
Best Regards and Wishes
