Most of us at Minnetonka High School have read J.P Salinger’s classic Catcher in the Rye due to it being an assignment when we were in 10th grade, but if for some reason you haven’t read it I highly recommend this book.
The story is told through the eyes of a 16 year old boy named Holden Caulfield. He gets kicked out of prep school and spends days wandering through New York City because he’s stalling to tell his parents. The story is basically what he does for these few days, and what his opinions are on people. Even though there really isn’t a main point, Catcher in the Rye is easy reading for those who get bored easily
and it’s entertaining.
